What is the Public Performance Measurement and Reporting Network (PPMRN)?

The Public Performance Measurement and Reporting Network (PPMRN) is a web-based community that brings together citizens, government officials, public and nonprofit managers, researchers, faculty, and students who are dedicated to measuring, reporting, and improving public sector and not-for-profit performance.

How do I become a member of the PPMRN?

Membership with PPMRN is FREE! To register to become a member of PPMRN, click on Join PPMRN.

You will be required to fill out your basic information and will be able to create a username and password so that you could login to our website and access all of our resources.

Does PPMRN have a Privacy Policy?

Yes. Once a user registers on our website, we use that information to update members on PPMRN programs, services and upcoming events. PPMRN does not rent, sell, or share your information.

Who should become a member of the PPMRN?

PPMRN is an open network to anyone interested in the field of Performance Measurement, Performance Management and Performance Reporting. PPMRN provides valuable resources to those interested in learning more about performance measurement and reporting.

Whether you are a practitioner or a student, PPMRN is an excellent place to learn about performance measurement.

What is the PPMRN listserv and how do I enroll?

The PPMRN listserv is a vehicle for communication between the Public Performance Measurement and Reporting Network and all registered users on topics of common interest. Members of the PPMRN listserv submit questions and/or comments to the listserv's email address and these are sent to all PPMRN listserv members.

How do I find out about PPMRN's annual conference?

To learn more about PPMRN's annual conference click on the Annual Conference section of the website. PPMRN members will also be notified of our annual conference through the monthly e-newsletter and program announcements sent via e-mail.

How do I find out about PPMRN'S professional training programs such as, the Public Performance Measurement Certificate program and webinars?

To learn more about PPMRN's Public Performance Measurement Certificate program click on the Performance Measurement Certificate section of the website. To learn more about PPMRN webinars click on the Webinars section of the website.

PPMRN members will also be notified on all professional training programs through the monthly e-newsletter and program announcements sent via e-mail.

How do I receive PPMRN's monthly e-newsletter?

Once you complete our free membership registration, you are automatically added to the list of newsletter recipients.

How could my company's service be advertised on the PPMRN website?

PPMRN has a section on the website for companies to post advertisements for their performance measurement-related services. To learn more, click on the Services section of the website or e-mail ppmrn@andromeda.rutgers.edu.

How do I submit an entry to be considered for inclusion in PPMRN's blog or newsletter?

PPMRN is always looking for professionals and practitioners to share their experience with network members. If you are interested in submitting an article to be published in our e-newsletter or on our blog, email ppmrn@andromeda.rutgers.edu.

What is the Speakers Bureau?

The Speakers Bureau is a compilation of a list of professionals and academics who have expressed their interest in speaking at events related to the field of Performance Measurement and Reporting.

The Speakers Bureau is divided into two sections, a list of Academics from the Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration and a list of Practitioners and Academics outside of the Rutgers community.

How do I use the PPMRN website?

The PPMRN website is divided into 20 different sections. The sections in black are accessible by all website users. The sections in red are only accessible when a user becomes a registered member and logs into his or her account.

How do I search for resources in the PPMRN website?

In order to search for resources on the PPMRN website, you must be a registered member and signed into your account. Once you have access to the resource section you may enter a search term in the search box or click on the appropriate tag(s) related to your search topic.

What are tags and how do I use them to advance my research?

PPMRN has compiled a list of 48 tags. These tags are the most commonly used terms in the performance measurement and reporting field. Each resource listed in our database is categorized by several tags. To advance your search, click on the tag(s) that are most related to your search topic.

How do I access the Public Performance & Management Review?

To access the Public Performance & Management Review click on Public Performance & Management Review section of the website to access archived issues as well as current issues. Only PPMRN members will be able to access the PPMR journal.

How do I report a broken link on the PPMRN website?

If you come across a broken link on the PPMRN website or the wrong link for one of our resources, please e-mail the title of the resource to ppmrn@andromeda.rutgers.edu.

What type of Social Media does PPMRN use?

PPMRN currently has three types of social media it uses to stay connected with its members. PPMRN has a Twitter account, a Facebook fan page and an RSS feed. PPMRN members must subscribe to each of these accounts independently to stay connected with PPMRN using these forms of social media.

How do I stay connected with PPMRN using Facebook?

To stay connected with PPMRN using Facebook, simply click on the fbook icon at the top right of our website page. Please note that you must have a personal Facebook account to fully view PPMRN's Facebook page.

How do I stay connected with PPMRN using Twitter?

To stay connected with PPMRN using Twitter, simply click on the twitter icon at the top right of our website page. Please note that you must have a personal Twitter account to fully view PPMRN'S Twitter page.

What is an RSS feed and how does it work?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It provides an easy way to gather and display information from varied and multiple sources, including news stories, updates to websites, and new posts to blogs. You could receive RSS feeds through e-mail or through your mobile device.

How do I receive and subscribe to RSS feed?

To subscribe and receive PPMRN's RSS feeds, simply click on the RSS icon at the top right of our website page. PPMRN's RSS feeds include regular updates on the latest news and blog posts.
